21-Day Consecration of Obedience

Back in 2009, I did this consecration and I journaled on Facebook each day to share what I was learning. I have decided to do it again.

I am vowing to God to be obedient no matter what it cost.

"The LORD is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trust in Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving." Psalm 28:7

"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

So, what is that I am being obedient to God for 21 days, starting June 22nd, well, there are a few things that came to mind when I made up my mind to do this:
  1. Reading the word, not just studying it for sermons and counseling.
  2. Eating right and losing some weight
  3. Forgiving those that have wronged me and seeking forgiveness from those that I have wronged.
  4. Staying faithful to my writing schedule (3 Hours daily except for Sundays)
  5. Being more consistent in every area of life. saying what I mean and meaning what I say.
  6. Being faithful to accomplishing daily, weekly and monthly goals.
So, my journey starts on June 21, 2015 and as the Lord speaks I will obey. In my future blogs, beginning June 21st, I will describe this journey. I will talk about the ups and the downs. I will allow myself to be transparent and real. I want to change and become everything God has already spoken I will be.
Father, I pray that you allow me to grow through this process. Let my words be pleasing in your sight. Teach me, mold me, and cause me to rise above my flesh. It's not in my power but in your power that I will accomplish this feat. I will be able to become the woman you created me to be. Father, I pray that you will be glorified in all that I say and do. Let your anointing flow freely in my life. I am a willing vessel. I ask you to rebuke the devour from my life. Remove all desires that are not like you and help me to see clearly what you have in the storehouse for me. Bless all those that encourage me on this journey and those that journey along with me to be more pleasing in your sight. I pray this all in Jesus' name.
I wrote about this in my blog today because I want to share this with you and if you feel so led to join me. Let me know in the comments below.
